It all started with the fact that I once moved from one microdistrict of the city to another, and almost on the very first day I noticed the Volvo XC70 all-terrain station wagon standing under the entrance, which is familiar to many of you.<\/p>\n

And everything would be fine, but it was just parked in a strange way – too close to the front of the door, where there are usually garbage cans in high-rise buildings. And I even came closer, seeing later that the car in the literal sense of the word was right up against the front bumper of the wall of the house.<\/p>\n

Of course, this alarmed me a little, and at first I thought that my new neighbor just parked so carelessly and miscalculated the distance quite a bit. But what was my surprise when I saw a similar parking of this strange uncle for the second and third time, and so far, after several years, he continues to park like that.<\/p>\n

I decided to ask what is the secret of such a cunning parking lot, to which he told me one interesting story, which I will share with you. As they say, for what I bought – for that I sell.<\/p>\n

In general, it all started with the fact that one morning the owner of this Volvo went out into the yard and, to his surprise, noticed that his car was without headlights… It's so simple – at night they took and pulled out expensive Volvo optics, the new original set of which can get into good -such a penny, in the region of 100 thousand rubles. according to the owner.<\/p>\n

As he later found out, it was this Volvo model, namely the XC70, that was distinguished by one feature of the headlight mounting design<\/a>, that they could be removed from the car with a slight movement of the hand in a matter of seconds, and all that was needed was to open the hood. Well, seasoned auto-thieves are unlikely to have problems with this. Further, two pins are pulled out, and voila…. it's in the bag, a thief in chocolate, and the owner is in shock the next morning.<\/p>\n

Of course, he bought new headlights, but this was a good lesson for him, and after this incident, he now always parks close to the wall or other objects that can interfere with this kind of punks.<\/p>\n

Many can rightly notice that even with such a parking, a maneuver to remove the optics is still possible, but you must admit that it will not be so easy, and for such figures, every second usually counts, and seeing even such a small obstacle, they most likely bypass this car and find a more affordable option in the next yard.
