\ufeff\ufeffFollowing the Saga electric sedan, California-based startup<\/a> Alpha Motor Corporation has unveiled a sporty version called the Supersaga with a more aggressive design and improved performance.<\/p>\n

Alpha Motor Corporation, led by American designer and entrepreneur Edward Lee, continues to run ads, although it hasn't shown a single working prototype yet. The startup first publicly announced itself at the end of 2020, and since then its potential lineup has expanded to eight positions: the Ace coupe in standard, sport and crossover versions, the Jax crossover, the Saga sedan and three pickup trucks: Wolf with a single cab, Wolf + with cab and half and Superwolf with double cab.<\/p>\n

The first absence of the Saga sedan happened last week and was supposed to coincide with the Los Angeles Auto Show, and now we meet the Supersaga – the same thing, only with more emphasis on sports.<\/p>\n

The Supersaga will only be offered with twin-engined all-wheel drive (the regular Saga can be ordered with rear- or all-wheel drive), and the 96.56 km\/h time has been reduced from 6.0 to 4.6 seconds. The power of the control panel<\/a> is not indicated. The 85 kWh battery will allow you to drive about 482 km without recharging. Empty weight – 1905 kg. The volume of two barrels (front and rear) is 566 liters.<\/p>\n

Compared to the regular Saga, the width of the sports sedan due to more developed wheel arches has increased from 1910 to 1970 mm, the height has decreased from 1440 to 1430 mm, the total length has remained the same – 4700 mm. A carbon fiber splitter appeared on the front end under the bumper, air vents were added to the front wheel arches, and a real diffuser was built into the rear bumper instead of a pseudo diffuser. The trunk lid and cab roof are made of carbon fiber, and a huge rear wing is installed on the trunk lid, which creates additional downforce at high speeds. The Supersaga's cabin features front sports seats with advanced lateral support and integrated head restraints, the profile of the second row seats has also been changed towards greater sportiness, and a virtual instrument panel that mimics analog dials has received a carbon fiber aluminum chassis.<\/p>\n

The retail price of the Supersaga has not yet been announced, but it can still be requested on the company's website, as for all other Alpha models. A typical Saga sedan costs between $40,000 and $50,000.<\/p>\n

Alpha Motor Corporation plans to begin production of its electric vehicles at the end of 2023, but it is not yet known where exactly – at its own plant or will issue an assembly contract with some other company.<\/p>\n

Recall that the startup showed the Wolf pickup only live: the presentation took place in August this year at the Petersen Automotive Museum (Los Angeles), but there was also a model with tinted windows.
