I propose to pay attention first of all to these cars, because they have proven their reliability, and they cost the same as a new Patriot in the entire price range. Toyota Land Cruise<\/a>r 100<\/h3>\n

There is nothing special to say here – a legend in life. The most expensive of all options and almost the most reliable. Although there are those who can compare with it in terms of reliability, but it costs less.<\/p>\n

The main engine is a 4.7-liter V8 and 235 hp. There are no questions about the reliability of this engine. Paired with it is a 5-speed automatic. He dies not before the engine. The main thing is not to forget to change the oil here and there.<\/p>\n

There is no classic frame here, but there is a spars system, which Mitsubishi calls an integrated frame. It had no effect on off-road ability. With corrosion for a 15-20-year-old car, everything is in order, the body is galvanized. There are practically no serious problems with the electrician. The interior is rustic and creaks, but still more comfortable than the UAZ one.<\/p>\n

There is a little embarrassment with motors, because the most common versions are rather capricious. It is better to look for either Japanese right-hand drive cars with an old 2.5-liter diesel engine from the second Pajero, or American cars with 4G74 gasoline with distributed injection instead of the direct injection that many cars had. Or a rare 3.8-liter gasoline engine (after 2003), which later migrated to the fourth generation.<\/p>\n

The beauty of American cars is that they are huge, simple, digest any gasoline and are well equipped. Automatic transmissions with regular oil changes and a quiet ride go 500,000 km before the bulkhead. In general, the car is clearly underestimated. If it had a power of up to 250 hp, the Tahoe could well compete with the Land Cruiser.<\/p>\n

Nissan Patrol (Y61)<\/h3>\n

No less legendary than the Land Cruiser, and no less reliable, but with its own nuances and not with all engines. The best choice is the good old TD42T, but this modification is quite rare these days. But if you find it, it will be almost impossible to kill her. The car is more likely to rot (corrosion is one of the main problems of Patrol) than the engine dies.<\/p>\n

With other engines, Patrol is not so reliable, but by modern standards it still has a huge resource. Just do not take cars from Arab countries, they have catastrophic problems with corrosion.<\/p>\n

Mechanical boxes can live up to half a million kilometers. The resource of automatic machines depends on operation. If everything is done on time and in a gentle mode, then they are guaranteed to run 300+ thousand km.<\/p>\n

There are no complaints about the suspension at all. What can break in bridges? Four-wheel drive is classic part-time, but the front hubs are semi-automatic and need to be adjusted with a wheelbrace. If this is not done, the mighty SUV may forever become rear-wheel drive.<\/p>\n

Toyota Land Cruiser Prado (J120)<\/h3>\n

Prado is almost as reliable as big brother – LC100. The main ambush is corrosion. She, of course, is not the same as that of the Patriot, but the cars are no longer young, so there are usually problems. For this reason, it is better not to consider cars from the Middle East.<\/p>\n

You can take a car with any engine. Even the base 2.7-liter is good. And the 4-liter goes half a million kilometers without any problems. The twin brother Lexus GX470 has a 4.7-liter engine, otherwise it is practically a copy of the Prado, only more solid and more expensive.<\/p>\n

The boxes are all good. The mechanics are almost indestructible and reliable, like an AK-47. A 4-speed automatic goes longer than motors, and a 5-speed can live up to half a million kilometers if you change the oil more often (at least once every 50,000 km). And all this even in off-road conditions.<\/p>\n

Even the pneuma on the Prado and the GX470 runs 200-250 thousand km, and the mechanical suspension is almost immortal, provided that the rubber bands are injected and replaced in a timely manner.
