Noor Ameerika ettev\u00f5te Smit Vehicle Engineering (SVE) otsustas selle parandada ja koostas oma versiooni nimega Oletha.<\/p>\n<p>SVE asutasid vennad Willem ja Kess Smith, kes on olnud lapsep\u00f5lvest saati armunud autodesse \u00fcldiselt ja eriti BMW-sse. Enne unistuste BMW ehitamist t\u00f6\u00f6tasid vennad Smithid ja omandasid kogemusi ettev\u00f5tetes General Electric, Tesla, Singer Vehicle Design, San Diego Composites ja Applied Composites. Eriti v\u00e4\u00e4rib selles nimekirjas t\u00e4helepanu Singeri ettev\u00f5te, mis on oma t\u00f6\u00f6ga klassikaliste Porsche 911-dega loonud intelligentse renoveerimise moe, mille p\u00f5hiolemus on doonorauto ajaloolise konteksti austamine ja selle stiili viimine t\u00e4iuslikkuseni.<\/p>\n<p>Kuid SVE Oletha pole restomod, sest originaalset BMW Z8 roadsterit pole selle valmistamiseks vaja. Andekas taanlane Henrik Fisker, kes juhib n\u00fc\u00fcd oma idufirmat, t\u00f6\u00f6tas mudeli v\u00e4limuse kallal ja BMW Z07 kontseptsiooni etapis oli tal kupeekerega versioon, kuid seeriasse see ei l\u00e4inud &#8211; selle asemel, k\u00f5va \u00fclekattega katus oli roadsteriga kaasas (kokkuklapitava softiga oli ka top). E86 p\u00f5lvkond &#8211; mudel, mis on palju laiemalt levinud ja autoklassika kogujatele v\u00e4hem v\u00e4\u00e4rtuslik kui BMW Z8.<\/p>\n<p>Doonorkere sai BMW Z8 stiilis t\u00e4iesti uue s\u00fcsinikkiust sulestiku ning tehniliseks t\u00e4idiseks on hodgepodge. Kapoti all on E90 p\u00f5lvkonna BMW M3 bensiinimootoriga 4,4-liitrine V8 (S65B44), mis oli varustatud uue s\u00fcsinikkiust sisselaskes\u00fcsteemi ja roostevabast terasest v\u00e4ljalaskes\u00fcsteemiga. Pidurid on firmalt AP Racing Radi-CAL sepistatud pidurisadulatega. Viie kahe kodaraga sepistatud veljed on m\u00e4hitud Michelin Pilot Sport 4S rehvidesse.<\/p>\n<p>Arendajad v\u00e4idavad, et t\u00e4nu s\u00fcsinikkiule ja suurele hulgale 3D-printimise teel valmistatud detailidele on kere v\u00e4\u00e4ndej\u00e4ikus 30 000 Nm \/ kraadi ja Oletha t\u00fchimass on 1402 kg, st peaaegu kaks senti v\u00e4hem kui originaal BMW Z8. Ahtrisse on integreeritud reguleeritav elektrispoiler. Salongis saab valida mugavate kaheksa reguleerimisv\u00f5imalusega istmete v\u00f5i s\u00fcsinikkiust raamil sportkoppade vahel.
