What are the dangers of polluted road air?

Highway air is a cocktail of many hazardous ingredients: soot, the smallest particles of car tires, asphalt and sand, bacteria, sulfur dioxide and nitrogen, formaldehyde.

Another potential threat to human health is the materials from which the interior is made. Studies show that they are the source of much of the chemical pollution in a car. The concentration of toxins in the “smell of a new car” can exceed the safe threshold for another 3 years after leaving the assembly line.

Well, do not forget about pollution, which is not directly related to the car, but rather to lifestyle. Any driving a car is usually associated with visiting public places where we come into contact with bacteria and viruses. They travel to our clothes and hands in the cabin, to then get into the nasopharynx and lungs in the air currents in a confined space.

What are the consequences of constant inhalation of polluted air

Polluted air can become a source of various diseases: it exacerbates respiratory symptoms, pneumonia, bronchitis, asthma and allergic reactions.

In 2013, the WHO International Agency for Research on Cancer established a link between outdoor air pollution and an increase in the incidence of cancer, especially lung and bladder cancer.

Can the built-in cleaning system cope with pollution

Cars do have air purification systems, but even in premium models, standard systems are not designed to handle ultrafine particles smaller than 0.5 microns. Such contaminants are the most dangerous to health: they easily enter the bloodstream through the lungs and spread throughout the body. Over the years, pollution builds up and often causes cancer, cardiovascular disease, or lung disease.

Built-in climate control systems help to partially clean the air inside the car. But since they are more focused on maintaining a comfortable temperature, you can hardly expect perfect air purification from them.

Some major car manufacturers are adding a cleaning function and multi-level filters to their standard systems. But this is still a feature of mid-range and high-end models. What to do for those who do not have the opportunity to buy a car for several million? The answer came from Panasonic Japanese engineers who created a portable generator based on nanoe ™ X technology. How it works
