The new version of the SUV has a more aggressive look, the interior has also been updated. According to preliminary data, the model will be offered at home with two turbo engines to choose from, and a hybrid version is also aimed at it.

We have already seen this Tiggo 8 in the photo of the Ministry of Industry of China and the photo of the ubiquitous spies. And Chery herself announced a new product. Recall that in China such a crossover received the Pro prefix, but it is very different from the Pro version, which has been presented recently: our SUV of the same name, in fact, is a slightly restyled Tiggo 8 Plus for the Chinese market. Well, let's add that in addition to the upcoming premiere, the G8 now has as many as six modifications in the brand's homeland (including a plug-in hybrid).

The Chinese Chery Tiggo 8 Pro has the most aggressive design among all versions: the crossover received a huge radiator grille framed by L-shaped LED lights, a huge front bumper and large round twin exhaust pipes. The headlights were also replaced (apparently dynamic turn signals above them), and the taillights were made in the form of a single die. The latter solution is also found in other mods, but the Pro version has a different scheme. And also the one that the cross is the largest in the family, its length is 4745 mm (for the rest of the “eights” – 4700 or 4722 mm), although the wheelbase is the same as the rest (2710 mm).

There is a scoreboard in the cabin, that is, a virtual “computer” combined with each other and a touch screen of the multimedia system – all this is good without a visor. In fact, there is no center console – a narrow panel with touch buttons was placed under the ventilation vents, like the latest Chery Omoda 5 SUV.

In the documents of the certification body for the Tiggo 8 Pro, two engines are declared: four-cylinder turbo-petrol 1.6 TGDI and 2.0 TGDI with a capacity of 197 and 254 hp, respectively. The senior engine of the new series, with it the crossover can be front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Local media are also predicting a hybrid version of the SUV.

The white crossover is the base Chery Tiggo 8 for China, the second is the Tiggo 8 Plus (our Pro version generally looks the same as the Chinese Plus)

According to preliminary data, Tiggo 8 Pro will be launched in the domestic market in May, but the public display may take place in April as part of the Beijing Auto Show. The company has not yet announced plans to supply such an SUV to other countries.

Meanwhile, the Pro crossover will also get a new version with all-wheel drive recently. It is expected that this performance will receive another prefix: Max.
