Sales of the new Audi Q7 from 2020 in Europe and America will begin in mid-autumn 2019 at a price comparable to the cost of the predecessor of the pre-reform Ku-seventh (from 64.1 thousand euros in Germany). But recently, the updated crossover will appear only at the beginning of 2020.

Restyling the Audi Q7 crossover was a traditional recipe. The model received a more modern appearance and an upgraded interior, richer equipment and diesel engines, supplemented by a micro-hybrid system with a starter-generator connected to the 48-volt on-board network. It should be noted that all the innovations that were used in the updated Audi Q7, the maximum single model of the coupe crossover Audi B8.

The new body of the Audi Q7 showcasing completely redesigned LED headlights offered as standard, an upgraded grille with vertical ridges, and a completely new front bumper with original plastic and powerful side air intakes.

The updated crossover also received a more serious plastic body kit along the lower perimeter of the body, wheels with a fashionable design, a modified rear bumper and new LED taillights connected by a chrome molding jumper.

By installing new bumpers, the overall body length of the updated crossover was increased by 11 mm compared to the pre-reform model, Audi Ku, produced since 2015.

• The external dimensions of the body of the Audi Q7 2019-2020 are 5063 mm long, 1970 mm wide and 1741 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2994 mm.

The interior of the updated Audi Ku7 crossover of the 2020 model year of the transformation practically does not differ from the B8 model with a modern architecture of the front panel and center console, a virtual instrument panel, a touchscreen with two color displays (diagonal of 10.1 inches each), a multimedia navigation system plus, an LED lighting circuit, and finishing materials of the highest quality.

However, unlike the Audi B8, the Audi Q7 crossover has a more comfortable interior with two extra seats in the third row. In a 5-seat configuration, the volume of the KU-seventh luggage compartment, depending on the position of the second row seats, can take 865-2050 liters of useful cargo volume.

In the technology of the updated crossover there were a number of interesting additions, which made it possible to reduce the fuel consumption of gasoline and diesel engines and to improve the handling of the large 5-meter crossover.

Audi Q7 2020 model year is offered in three versions.

• Diesel Audi Q7 45 sedan (231 hp and 500 Nm) and Q7 was 50 (286 hp 600 Nm), equipped with a 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbo diesel engine, and diesel Audi Q7 TFSI for 55 (340 hp and 500 Nm) six-cylinder turbo-diesel engine.

All engines are complemented by a mild hybrid system consisting of a belt-driven starter and a 48-volt battery installed under the boot floor. We will only add that the innovative system reduces fuel consumption by 0.7 liters per 100 km.

By the way, the 48 volt battery not only powers the generator starter, but also active anti-roll bars included, include in the equipment package for a mechatronic chassis, a short steering rack (2.4 turns lock to lock) and rear steering gear in repeating the rear wheels. Before restyling, this equipment is offered only for the “charged" Audi SQ7 crossover.
