The 6th generation Opel Corsa hatchback is built on the new modular platform CMP (Unified Modular Platform) of the PSA automobile concern. We remind our readers that Opel and Vauxhall engines have been owned by the French giant PSA Group for two years, starting from February 14, 2017. Therefore, in the platform of the brothers, the New Opel Corsa is not only the Peugeot 208, but the compact SUV premium DS 3 crusaders. Thus, the technical stuffing of the new German hatchback with an identical technological platform “Frenchman” Peugeot 208, and partly exclusive DS 3 Crusaders.

For the new generation of Opel Corsa reserved: four-cylinder 1.5 diesel, turbo, sports, three-cylinder gasoline turbo engine 1.2 PureTech and even a fully electric power plant from Peugeot e-208. Front suspension independent with MacPherson struts, rear semi-independent torsion beam, front wheels.

If in technological terms the New Opel Corsa is an exact copy of the Peugeot 208, the external design of the exterior and interior of the novelty is original. The new 5-door Opel Corsa hatchback from the brand demonstrates a modern and stylish body with a dynamic and charismatic accent. In the presence of a hood with an original relief, a slotted radiator grille with diamond accents, compact headlights (full-LED headlights with matrix LED IntelliLux technology will be offered as an option), a powerful front bumper with a large air intake and juicy aerodynamic elements – the front of the hatchback.

On the side of the body of the novelty presented at the exhibition are circular wheel arches, domed roofs, supported by a powerful rear pillar, inflated fender surfaces, doors adorned with characteristic ribs and a punch. Feeding the new generation of the Opel Corsa hatchback picked up the purposeful and sporty look of the new one, showing off a compact trunk lid with bright plastic and topped with a spoiler, stylish LED headlights and a powerful bumper.

Unfortunately, the exact external dimensions of the body of the Opel Corsa generation 6 2019-2020 are not yet known. But, according to preliminary information, the new body of the new generation Corsa is 40 mm longer and 18 mm wide than the body of the predecessor of the 5th generation Opel Corsa E.

Salon Corsa does not look as futuristic as the platform for the French brother Peugeot 208, but very stylish and modern. The product is a multifunction steering wheel with a thick rim, a virtual dashboard deployed to the driver of the center console, an advanced multimedia system with support for MirrorLink, Apple and CarPlay and Android Auto, TomTom navigation and a rearview camera (we will choose from 3 options with a diagonal of 5, 7 or 10 inches), a convenient control unit with air conditioning, comfortable first-row seats with moderate lateral support.

The trunk volume of the new Opel Corsa hatchback will be ready to take 309 liters of cargo behind the backs of the second row of seats. It is also worth noting, of course with an eye on the Peugeot 208, that the New Opel Corsa will surprise buyers with unprecedented equipment for a B-class car, using the most modern security systems and electronic assistants. The list of equipment includes adaptive cruise control, lane keeping system, automatic parking system, automatic braking system, traffic sign recognition system, headlight beam assistant driver tracking system, and many different chips to ensure comfortable and safe driving.
