Chang’an f70 2019 – the new Chinese pickup Chang’an F70

The new Chinese pickup truck F70 Chang'an (F70 Chang'an), created jointly by the French concert PSA and the Chinese company Changan Automobile Group, is preparing for the official premiere and entry into the Chinese market in the summer of 2019. In the review, Chang'an F70 2019-2020 – news, photos, price, equipment and specifications of the new Chang'an F 70 pickup truck, which is designed to compete with the Nissan Navara model that dominates the global market.

The exact cost of the new Chinese Changan f70 pickup truck has not yet been announced by the manufacturer, but according to preliminary information , the price of Changan F70 in China will be from 88,000 yuan (about 864 thousand). Interestingly, Chang'an's new F70 truck competes in the domestic market not only with Nissan Navara, but also with many other trucks: Ruijing 6 Dongfeng, Dongfeng Yufeng R16 Rich and Dongfeng, Foton Tunland, Great Wall Wingle 6 and 7, Huanghai H3, Isuzu D-Max, JAC T6 and JAC T8, SVK Yuhu, Mitsubishi L200, Qing Ling Taga, Gupt Maxus T60… and by the way, not all budget pickup models are presented in the Chinese market.

Apparently, the management of Peugeot and Changan are in a plan to promote new items on the market. After all, Chang'an F70 is a joint venture between French and Chinese companies, and, interestingly, is billed as a global model. Pickup F70 Chang'an will be sold in China, but its platform brother, a clone with the emblem of Peugeot (the premiere will take place a little later) is aimed at the markets of Africa and Latin America. There is no information about plans to enter the European and current markets of the new global pickup truck developed by Peugeot and Changan.

I want to note that there is really not much information about the new Chang'an f70 pickup truck. In our photos, car body possession and poor performance. On the other hand, even this amount of data is enough to understand the essence of the car.

The appearance of the new Chinese pickup Chang'an F70 is quite simple and concise, and honestly, does not catch the originality and style. Before us is a pickup truck – a workhorse, and the body does not have designer frills. In the presence of a deliberately brutal rack with compact headlights, a large grille and a one-piece bumper.

Traditional for this type of body profile, arched Sintra similar wheel arches, exterior mirrors with LED turn signal repeaters, alloy wheels and running boards.

It's a shame, but so far the manufacturer has not revealed the interior of the new pickup truck. However, judging by the spy photos, the model will get a very modern interior with original instrument cluster and center console, stylish door card design, and lots of modern equipment. According to insider information, the new Chinese pickup designed a stylish multi-function steering wheel trimmed with the lower part of the rim and an informative instrument panel with a color on-board computer display.

Arsenal also has a multimedia system with a large color screen, climate control, first-row seats with electric adjustment and heating, the ability to order leather trim.

Peugeot and Changan did not disclose details about the platform on which the new global pickup truck is based, but with an eye on the engines installed on the Chang'an F70 model, it can be assumed that the basis of the new car is the Japanese Isuzu Mu-X SUV.
Under the hood of the new Chinese Chang'an F70 pickup truck, Isuzu's four-cylinder turbo diesel engine works by default with a 6-speed manual transmission (6 automatic transmissions may be available as an option).

• When starting the engine, oddly enough, with a larger displacement than the more powerful 2.5 turbo diesel engine (129 hp 320 Nm).
• A more powerful version of the turbo diesel 1.9 turbo (150 hp 360 Nm).

Standard pickup truck, rear-wheel drive, but an all-wheel drive transmission will be optional.
