Here it would be more accurate to say that the engine did not like after a ride on a 2.4-liter Sportage. It's like changing from a Gelika G63 to a G350. That is, you seem to have enough, and it seems to be going, but you know that it can be much better and more interesting.

Here I did not make friends with the automatic transmission settings. They are too “civilian”, too careful, trying to ride as softly and comfortably as possible, and when you want to drive more aggressively, only the “Sport” mode saves with a stretch.

Ownership experience KIA Sportage

I have never had it, but do not rush to draw conclusions. My daughter is already driving her second Sportage in a row and, if she is going to change it, then back to the Sportage. And, according to my instructions, be sure to 2.4-liter.

Both cars did not know a warm garage, they were used daily in the city, no one around them danced with polish and a dust broom, and at the same time both cars showed their best side – not a single serious repair or serious problem. No bullies, as they say (c).

Final verdict

KIA Sportage is ideal as a “shopping bag” or station wagon, if you want: around the city to work and to the store, to the cottage on a wet primer, to a picnic spot along a forest path or to an interesting location without extreme sports.

It is in this role that a 2-liter engine and the available automatic transmission settings will be enough for him. If you want something “hotter”, then this is definitely not about “two liters”, but at least about 2.4 (a completely different motor feels) or about another car.
