Vietnamese automaker VinFast brought three new electric crossovers – VF 5, VF 6, VF 7 – to the CES exhibition in Las Vegas at once and announced the start of accepting orders for the previously presented VF e35 and VF e36 crossovers, which are now renamed VF 8 and VF 9 respectively.

We detailed the history of VinFast last spring, but since then the young Vietnamese company has stepped forward and is doing projects outside of its homeland. VinFast Global was set up last summer to expand into the European and US markets, with former Opel executive Michael Lohscheller at the helm. The German specialist, however, did not take root in the Vietnamese company and was replaced last month by a local specialist from Vietnam, Le Thi Thu Thuy.

The three new models unveiled at CES are the VF 5 (Class A), VF 6 (Class B) and VF 7 (Class C) crossovers, developed in collaboration with Italian studios Pininfarina and Torino Design. There is no technical information and release schedule about them yet, photos of the interiors too. We only note that WinFast already has a C-class crossover called VF e34 (it has not yet been renamed): its production began on December 25, but, apparently, it is intended only for the domestic market, and the more elegant VF 7 has been made for the United States and Europe.
