JAC T8 2018 – a new Chinese truck JAC on T8
The new Chinese JAC T8 pickup (Jak T8), which debuted in the Chinese market in mid-summer 2018, was one of the class leaders in terms of sales in the local market. Review of the JAC T8 2018-2019 year video and photos, price and detailed technical specifications of the large Chinese JAC trucks on the T8, very similar in appearance to the legendary Japanese Toyota Hilux pickup truck. The price of a new product EAK EAK engines T8 self-delivery in the Chinese market is 99800 – 130800 yuan (960-1260 thousand conventional units at the current exchange rate).
It is worth noting that in the lineup of the Chinese company JAC Motors with the release of new products, there are already three pickup trucks: JAC V7 with a price tag of 71800-83800 yuan, JAC T6 offer at a price of 91800-127800 yuan, and the Hero of our review JAC T8, which claims to be the leader among pickup trucks of the company. By the way, out of the whole trinity, the new JAC truck on the T8 looks very modern and stylish, however, this new product was clearly created with an eye on the Japanese Toyota Hilux pickup truck.
A copy of the exterior design of the body of the legendary Japanese pickup, of course, is out of the question, but some details, of course, are borrowed, and the external dimensions of the body of the Chinese JAC trucks on the T8 come close to the performance of the Japanese Toyota Hilux trucks, but… Jack T8 is still slightly larger and available with two wheelbases (3090 mm 3380 mm), respectively, with excellent overall body length and different size of the loading platform with a length of 1520 mm and 1810 mm.

- External body dimensions of the JAC T8 (JAC T8 extended base) 2018-2019 amount to 5325 mm (5615 mm) long, 1880 mm wide, 1830 mm high, with a 3090 mm (3380 mm) wheelbase and 210 mm ground clearance.

- The size of the standard loading platform T8 JAC (JAC T8 trolley stretches to a base of 290 mm) is 1520 mm (1810 mm) long and 15-20 mm wide, height – 470 mm.
- Floor loading height of the loading area is 900 mm, but for quick access in the back, this step is at a height of 610 mm from the level of the road surface.
Despite the stylistic similarity between the Chinese JAC truck on the T8 and the Japanese Toyota Hilux, the new company JAC Motors can still boast of the original interior and exterior body parts. In the presence of heavier headlights that sit between a huge grille with rich chrome trim and large JAC letters, a compact front bumper with rectangular foglights, an original rear-view mirror housing with LED turn signal indicators.
There is also a magnificent wheel arches with plastic edge protection pads, stylish 17-18 inch alloy wheels with 245/65 P17 or 265/60 P18 tires, a harmonious body profile with a long hood, a spacious passenger compartment and a respectable cargo platform, as well as a simple and reliable rear (original rear lights with LED content, order on board the loading platform and rear bumper, supplemented by fog lights).
It's a shame, but the interior of the Jack T8 pickup truck is not as modern and stylish as the outside of the body of the novelty (with the cab of the Toyota Hilux pickup truck, to compare even nothing). I will say more, the interior of the JAK T8 is exactly the same as the Jak T6 pickup. Simple, unpretentious and, frankly, ancient. Even the presence of an advanced multimedia system with an 8-inch color touch screen (multimedia, CarLife, Bluetooth, navigation, rear view camera) and better materials do not save the situation.
The arsenal has a fairly simple, multifunctional steering wheel, an analog dashboard with a monochrome on-board computer screen, air conditioning, electric windows and exterior mirrors, cruise control, front airbags, parking sensors, driver and front passenger seats with indistinct lateral support.
As options include a keyless entry system with an engine start / stop button, a surround view system, side airbags and curtain airbags, leather-trimmed seats and a front panel.
Technical characteristics of the T8 lamp 2018-2019.
The new JAC truck on the T8 rests on the same heavy duty ladder frame as the platform of the JAC truck on the T6. Front suspension spring, rear spring with trunnion. Standard rear-wheel drive and optional electronically controlled all-wheel drive system with three modes 2H, 4H and 4L (activated with buttons on the center console).
Under the hood of the new Chinese pickup truck, a 2.0-liter turbo diesel (139 hp 320 Nm) is installed, paired with a 6 manual transmission.
