The premiere of “Electromarket” will take place on January 31 in Prague. Its “twin” is the previously introduced Volkswagen ID.5 crossover.

Skoda's first all-electric crossover was the Enyaq, which debuted in September 2020. Sales of the model in Europe began a month later. In less than 2021 (January to November), dealers managed to sell 40,889 vehicles, according to Carsalesbase. For comparison, the “twin” SUV of the Czech brand Volkswagen ID.4 was sold in the Old World market in a slightly larger circulation over the same period: 46,079 units.

Now the company is preparing for the presentation of another novelty: a crossover similar to the Skoda Enyaq Coupe iV coupe will be presented at the end of this month in the Czech capital. Previously, Skoda has already shown photos and videos of a prototype of the future SUV in camouflage, and also declassified technical details, and now the brand has decided to stir up interest with a new teaser. Externally, the car will differ from the usual “brother” with a sloping roof and other design of the stern.

As previously mentioned by the company, the coupe-shaped production crossover has a drag coefficient of 0.234, while the standard electric SUV has a drag coefficient of 0.257. For comparison, the “twin” of the future novelty – the “green” cross-coupe Volkswagen ID.5 – has an aerodynamic drag coefficient of 0.26.

Anyaq Coupe iV has a length of 4653 mm: this result is 4 mm more than the standard Enyaq electric SUV, and the height, in turn, turned out to be only a millimeter more (dimension 1617 mm). At the same time, the width and wheelbase remained the same – 1879 and 2765 mm, respectively. Trunk volume, logically, has decreased: not 585 liters, like a “simple” crossover, but 570 liters.

In the European market, the Skoda Enyaq coupe will be offered in three versions. Enyaq Coupe iV 60 will play the starting role: this version has only one electric motor on the rear axle, its power is 179 hp. This crossover is equipped with a 62 kWh battery.

Even the “medium” version – iV 80 – received only one electric motor, but with a return of 204 hp. The battery capacity of this version is 82 kWh. This SUV will become the most “long-hauler” of the lineup: its range is 535 km (the calculation was made according to the WLTP cycle), while the crossover with a standard body has an indicator of 520 km.

The most powerful will be the top performance, we are talking about the all-wheel drive version of the Enyaq Coupe iV 80x. Such a car received an electrical installation consisting of two motors (one for each axle). Their total power is 265 hp.

Note that recently the Skoda Enyaq iV “train” has not been presented, so it's not even worth waiting for a coupe-like version of this crossover. To date, the Rapid liftback remains the brand's most popular car in our market: 39,017 units were sold in 11 months of last year (more recent data is not yet available) (74% more than a year earlier).
