We note right away that it is quite difficult to distinguish the all-wheel drive hybrid crossover DS 7 crusaders e-tension from 4×4 both gasoline and diesel versions of the DS 7 crusaders model, but, of course, you just need to look closely:
- firstly, light alloy wheels are available 20-inch wheels with an original design and low-profile tires 235/45 P20;
- secondly, there is an additional hatch on the left side, under which the connector for connecting the charger is hidden (the fuel tank hatch is located on the starboard side);
- third, reveal the inscription E-tense 4×4, located on the left side of the trunk lid;
- fourthly, for the exterior it offers additional enamel colors “gray crystal”.
The interior of the hybrid crossover DS 7 Crusader e-4×4 is tightened in exactly the same way as the normal interior in the DS 7 Crusader version, with the exception of a few added menu items for the multimedia system, a different design of the virtual instrument panel, a gear selector, added the letter E and a selector that allows you to select one driving mode: Zero Emissions (all-electric driving mode), Universal Hybrid (optimal balance of petrol and electric motors), Sport (dedication of a 300-horsepower hybrid powertrain) and 4WD (four-wheel drive mode with optimal distribution of axle traction for driving in winter conditions or off-road). In all modes of operation of the hybrid power and transmission system, you can find out by watching the video posted at the end of our review.
By the way, the technical stuffing of the DS 7 crusaders of the electronic tense 4×4 is the most interesting crossover, in this case the same technique is observed in the Peugeot 3008 Hybrid4, officially presented earlier.
The hybrid powertrain includes a PureTech 1.6 petrol four-cylinder turbo engine (200 hp, 300 Nm), which transmits front wheel drive with an EAT8 automatic transmission, and two traction motors (109 hp 337 Nm on the front axle) on rear axle (109 hp 166 Nm)). There is also a lithium-ion battery weighing 120 kg and has a power of 90 kW and a power of 13.2 kW / h The energy to be overcome in electric mode is 50 km (WLTP cycle) or 60 km (NEDC cycle).
The SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.5 seconds, from 80 km/h to 120 km/h in 4.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 135 km/h in electric mode, or 220 km/h in hybrid mode. According to the manufacturer, the hybrid powerplant consumes just 2.2 liters of fuel (data combined with the WLTP cycle).
It only remains to add that the battery is fully charged from a regular household outlet within 8 hours, and with a special 32-amp charger in just two hours.
