Fancy UAZ Hunter with a chic interior

37

No matter how many UAZs you tune, you still get a UAZ. It is so? But still, the owners of these SUVs continue to invest sometimes a lot of money to make their cars more passable, comfortable or just beautiful.

Today I want to show you another unusual specimen, on which its owner has worked quite seriously. UAZ Hunter received a lot of additional equipment, which made his appearance more aggressive.

Externally

Let's look at the unit in more detail. Instead of a regular bumper, a powerful steel bumper appeared in front, combined with a “kenguryatnik". It also has a license plate mount, a winch and a pair of square fog lights.

Four more "foglights" are fixed on the roof rack above the windshield. Two steel cables run from it to the front fenders, protecting the windshield from tree branches.

Here is the same winch on the front bumper. This is a Come Up Winch DV-6000S with 2.7 tons of pulling power.

Almost the same bumper is installed in the rear. There is also a winch and a couple of additional lights: fog and reversing.

The spare wheel cover is reminiscent of the ones on the helicons, and above it is a very funny mini-ladder that allows you to get to the roof rack.

Narrow regular wheels are completely useless on serious off-road. Therefore, UAZ owners who plan to move off the asphalt usually immediately change them to something more serious.

In this case, the choice fell on the wheels Mickey Thompson Baja Claw Radial dimension 305/70R16. Each of these will cost you 15-16 thousand conventional units.

smart interior

This UAZ looks even more curious when you get into its salon.

Remember the interior of the original Hunter? There is a lot of exposed metal and a little bit of low-quality plastic.

Here everything became different. Look at this beauty! Almost everything that was possible was sheathed in cherry-colored leather (or leatherette?).

The seats are installed from some foreign car. They are much more comfortable, have good lateral support (this is very useful during off-road rides) and several adjustments, though not electrical, but mechanical.

First, they are red. Together with a lot of other red elements in the cabin, this will make you tense if you spend long enough here. And secondly, the concept of a serious off-road conqueror somehow does not fit with the carpets on the floor.

The front panel looks quite standard, though all the elements are sheathed in leather (or leatherette) with stitching. A standard “garland” of round devices flaunts in the center, and under them is a scattering of buttons and toggle switches.

The steering wheel looks good, which is also sheathed in the same color material as all other interior elements.

Total

Users of social networks are rather ambiguous about this car.

Here is what they write:

“And where on this, to the exhibition, it's a pity in the dirt!”

“The color, of course, is beautiful, but… some kind of “non-UAZ”…”

“From the factory they would still produce such”

“Just don’t smear a cow’s face, she won’t become a horse”
