Overview of the car CHERYEXEED TXL. Technical part and cost

I present to your attention an all-wheel drive, five-seat crossover CHERYEXEED TXL, 2020 release. The car is made in China. In the current car market, the novelty appeared at the end of 2020. After that, like a chain reaction, most autobloggers made a noise with one voice and said that this car is worthy of attention and it will certainly compete with German and Japanese cars. Looking ahead, I will say that I came to a different conclusion.

In total, the presented car model has only two configurations:
- Complete set "Luxury" – "cheap".
- Options “Flagship" – “rich”.
The difference in configurations is as follows.
- “Luxury” has 18 rims, “Flagship” 19.
- Headlights (high / low) in “Luxury” halogen, in “Flagship” LED.
- In the “Flagship” configuration, the car has a panoramic roof.
- The 360 degree surround view system is installed in the CHERYEXEED TXL in the “Flagship” package. In the “Luxury” configuration, the car has only a rear view camera.
- Blind spot monitoring system. Automatic parking system. Lane control system. Reverse assist system. All these features are available in the “Flagship” package, and are also absent in the “Luxury” package .
Perhaps, I have now named the main parameters, in which the equipment differs. Now let’s look at the car CHERYEXEED TXL in the "Luxury" configuration in detail. And first of all, let’s look into the engine compartment.
There is only one power unit to choose from, namely:
Petrol, four-cylinder, in-line, turbocharged engine, 1.6 displacement, 186 horsepower, paired with a 7-speed DCT (Robot).
My opinion. Definitely, the manufacturer made a mistake by installing a small-volume and low-power motor on a large-sized, all-wheel drive crossover. At a minimum, you need a 2.5-liter engine with a capacity of at least 200 horses. It would not hurt if he was paired with a full-fledged automatic (Hydromechanical box).
The curb weight of the car is approximately 1688 kg. And the gross weight is about 2088 kg. Agree, dragging two tons for the 1.6 engine is another story. I understand that German turbocharged cars have been working according to this scheme for a long time, but let’s remember how long they went to this and what difficulties were on their way. And here is a fresh Chinese little car with an unknown future.
Appearance
I admit that the five-door crossover CHERYEXEED TXL looks beautiful. With the design, the Chinese automaker did not fail, as he harmoniously entered his car into the overall picture among modern cars.
Let’s look under the car
The car has a load-bearing body. Traces of corrosion and rust on the bottom, I did not find. I note that there are no aerodynamic-noise-absorbing shields.
MacPherson strut front suspension. The rear suspension is independent, multi-link. Disc brakes are installed on the front and rear axles. Ground clearance 21 cm.
System of removal of the fulfilled gases from the engine, one-pipe. The muffler divides the gas outlet into a “two-pipe exhaust”, thereby imitating that a powerful engine is installed in the crossover.
Let’s look in the luggage compartment
The volume of the luggage compartment, with the backs of the second row of seats not unfolded, is about 461 liters. When the backrests are unfolded, the volume of the luggage compartment increases to 1000 liters.
Under the false floor there is a niche for some kind of tool, or for some small things. Further under the next raised floor is a spare wheel and a set of tools for dismantling it.
The backs of the second row of seats are laid out according to the formula 60/40, in a flat floor. It makes for a great sleeping place. Of course, it cannot be called comfortable, but it is quite possible to spend the night, if necessary.
On the second row of seats
Landing on the second row of seats, due to the wide doorway, is so comfortable that even many premium cars will envy this car. Sitting on the seats, I note that there is a lot of free space in the area of u200bu200bthe legs.
Of the minuses — the angle of inclination of the seat back is not adjustable.
For comfort, a fairly comfortable armrest is built into the back of the seat. Between the front row of seats, in the armrest, deflectors are built in, through which air is supplied from the car’s dual-zone climate system to passengers located on the second row.
At the driver’s workplace
Sitting in the driver’s seat, I note: there are enough adjustment ranges for the seat and steering column to find a comfortable driving position. Visibility is good.
The driver’s seat is electrically adjustable in six directions, with memory settings in several positions. The front passenger seat is mechanically adjustable in four directions (in the “Flagship” configuration, the front passenger seat is electrically adjustable in six directions).
The seat trim, in my opinion, is made of leatherette, quite high quality. The steering wheel is wrapped in Nappa leather.
The design of the Parprise instrument panel is controversial. To say that wow, cool, cool, of course, is impossible. Normal-looking torpedo, like many modern cars. And I note that the assembly is good. Plastic of decent quality and most importantly, it is odorless.
The audio system in the car I examined has six speakers. There are eight of them in the “Flagship” configuration .
The armrest did not suit me in that it is not very comfortable, in terms of how it opens.
My opinion. I do not think that CHERYEXEED TXL will become a bestseller. Knowing how Chinese automakers are rapidly changing the design of their cars, I will assume that this car model will last in the current market for a maximum of five years.
