First impression

Gasoline (AI-92) turbocharged, four-cylinder, in-line engine, 2.0 liter capacity, 190 horsepower. It is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission (Aisin hydromechanical).

• Fuel consumption, when driving at a constant speed of 90 km / h, per 100 km, is about 6.6 liters.

There is no doubt about the reliability of the power unit. Engine power is sufficient, and the “Aisin” automatic transmission has already proven itself well for a long time.

Let's look under the car

MacPherson type suspension is installed in front, with an integrated anti-roll bar. Minimum ground clearance, at full load, 20 centimeters. The lower part of the engine compartment is covered with plastic protection.

The body of the car GAC GS8 bearing. Noise-absorbing aerodynamic shields are installed in the rear of the body. Why they did not make plastic protection around the bottom is not known.

Ventilated disc brakes on the front axle, non-ventilated disc brakes on the rear axle.

The luggage compartment has a niche for tools. At the moment there is an emergency sign, a balloon key, a jack, a towing loop.

The backs of the third row of seats are laid out according to the formula 50/50, in a flat floor. The backs of the second row of seats are laid out according to the formula 60/40.

Let's go to the salon

It is convenient to sit down on the second row of passenger seats (the doorway does not hinder movement), it is comfortable to sit. It is possible to adjust the seat on the plane forward / backward, the angle of inclination of the backrests is also adjustable. I note the presence of a wide armrest with built-in cup holders.

The upholstery of the seats is made of a leather-like material. According to the tactile sensations, the material is of good quality. I'm guessing it's durable. In the minimum configuration of the GE 2WD, the seat trim is fabric.

Let's look at the third row

To get to the third row of passenger seats, you need to push the second row seats forward until they stop, and bend the back.

For me, with my height of 180 cm, climbing into the third row is very inconvenient.

Sitting in the third row is uncomfortable. The only plus is that the back is adjustable in angle. I don't see any other benefits. One discomfort. One gets the impression that the third row was made so that it was for show, as an option.

At the driver's workplace

Very interesting finish door cards. Faux suede combined with “leather” and lacquered inserts looks rich.

Landing in the driver's seat is comfortable. Sit comfortably, visibility is good. The driver's seat is electrically adjustable in ten directions. The front row passenger seat is also electrically adjustable in four directions. Note that the seats are heated and ventilated. Heated steering wheel, electric booster installed.

The architecture of the instrument panel (Parpriza) is pleasing to the eye, there are no unnecessary elements, everything is harmoniously combined. The gaps between the decorative plastic inserts are even. Honestly, I can't find fault with anything, because everything suits me.

Let me summarize. GAC GS8 is interesting for its equipment. I didn’t tell a lot about its filling, in a word, there is one FAT. The car was sold for 2,568,000 conditional units.
