In general, the body of the new Peugeot 208, regardless of what version we have in front of us, diesel, gasoline or electric, looks stylish, modern, bright and impressive. The front flaunts a new hood with an original relief, neat headlights (for the maximum configuration of the GT Line and GT full LED), complemented by characteristic LED running lights in the form of tusks, a large false radiator grille and a bumper with a large lower air intake slot and original plastic.
From the side, the body of the new compact hatchback demonstrates a compact hood, round wheel arches, inflated door surfaces with a high sill line, lowered roof rack, gradually flowing down on the rear panel, solid and powerful feed.
The rear of the body looks powerful and attractive. The Arsenal has a compact tailgate spoiler with solid, stylish LED lights, a high quality profiled bumper with organic black insert and additional light elements.

As it was indicated at the beginning of the review of the new Peugeot 208 from the very beginning of sales, it will be offered to European motorists with diesel, gasoline and electric transmissions.
Diesel Peugeot 208 is equipped with a four-cylinder turbodiesel 1.5 sports (100 hp) with 6 manual transmissions.
Petrol versions will be equipped with a three-cylinder 1.2-liter engine:
- Initial naturally aspirated engine 1.2 PureTech (75 HP) paired with a 5 manual transmission.
- More powerful turbocharged engines 1.2 PureTech (100 hp) in tandem with 6 manual transmissions and offered for a fee 8 automatic transmissions and 1.2 PureTech (130 hp) paired exclusively with automatic transmission 8.
The electric Peugeot e-208 was developed in parallel with the conventional diesel and petrol versions of the novelty. So thanks to the efforts of engineers, the 50 kW / h battery is ideal for the cabin floor, in no way reducing the interior and trunk of the electric version.
Under the hood of the electric Peugeot e-208, a motor (136 hp 280 Nm) is installed, which transmits traction to the front wheels, and provides an electric car with acceleration dynamics from 0 to 100 km / h in just 8.1 seconds. The mileage declared by the manufacturer on a single charge is 340 km (as measured by the WLTP cycle). It takes 16 hours to fully charge the batteries from a regular household socket, but with the help of a special 100-kilowatt terminal, to compensate for the loss of electric fuel up to 80% in just 30 minutes.
There are also intermediate charging options: Charging complex wall box (version for single-phase current, 7.4 kW) to fully charge the battery electric Peugeot 208 for eight hours, and a more advanced version of the wall box (three phases, 11 kW) will provide 100% battery charge in within 5 hours.
It only remains to add that the owners of the Peugeot 208, we can choose the optimal driving mode from the three proposed options: Eco, normal and sport, as well as one of the intensity options in recovery mode.
