The concept of Skoda vision IZH 2019 is another prototype of the Skoda electric crossover

Show concept car Skoda Vision and. very soon to become a new model Skoda electric crossover is based on the modular platform of the Volkswagen meb. In the review, the Skoda Vision IZH 2019 concept is officially presented at the Geneva International Motor Show – news, photos and videos, estimated price, equipment and technical characteristics of the prototype of the first electric car of the Czech company.

According to preliminary information, the serial version of the Skoda vision electrocreaser IZH (the model, apparently, will receive the name formed by a combination of the letters K–Q) will stand on the assembly line of the Volkswagen plant in Zwickau (Zwickau, Germany) in mid-2020 with the platform of the B4 brothers Audi electronic electron and Volkswagen Crozz identifier. The price of an electric Skoda crossover will be about 50,000 euros.

Ahead of the official premiere of the Skoda Vision concept and. At the Geneva Motor Show, it is expected that the first prototype of Skoda's electric model will be presented in pre-trial form. Journalists and experts began in their expectations of the crossover concept Skoda Vision e shown back in 2017, and declassified the appearance of the Audi e-electron B4 concept. However, automotive journalists and regular visitors to the Geneva show were waiting for a “cold shower” from the sight of the new Skoda vision and. the concept developed almost a blank sheet and the new chief designer of the Czech brand Oliver Stefany (Skoda's vision of the concept was created by the former chief designer of Skoda Josef Kaban).

There's nothing to be done, because “a new broom sweeps in a new way”, it's a pity that the Czech company lost at least two years creating a new kind of electric firstborn. However, it should be noted that Skoda's specialists have already proved, using the example of the Skoda hatchback and the Skala Skoda Kamiq crossover, the possibility of creating prototypes of commercial vehicles in a few months.

Skoda Vision IV turned out to be very bright, stylish and charming, not only because the enamel is ultra yellow, it is able to change shades due to the content of “organic gold pigments”, but thanks to the efforts of the new chief designer of the Czech brand. Oliver Stefanie wore a show car with an original look, and a stylish compact coupe-shaped crossover with a body profile and a range of striking design features.

The front end of the concept flaunts a hood with an original relief formed by a stroke of longitudinal ribs, a compact signature radiator grille with an LED strip that connects a matrix of LED headlights and a powerful bumper with bright plastic, aerodynamic elements and decorative details in black.

The body side of the prototype shows all the design trappings: a moderately long and sloping bonnet, rounded wheel arches, light edges, and exciting side panel explosions, a perfect roof dome and a compact rear end. However, there are parts in stock that will remain show car attributes and will not decorate the exterior of a serial electric crossover.

Frameless doors (the rear ones open against the direction of the car), devoid of a video camera handle instead of traditional mirrors, huge 22-inch wheels with wheels specially designed for the concept from a row of spokes, one of which is decorated with the Skoda inscription.

Feed the conceptual electric crossover looks very impressive: on the tailgate with a shoulder spoiler, strokes, LED position lights, a solid bumper with LED strip across the entire body width.

Interestingly, if the body of the concept is not very complex redevelopment (put ordinary doors, added door handles and mirrors, uses a smaller wheel) easily turns into a crossover, ready to stand on the conveyor, the interior of the show car is very far from the production version. Perhaps part of the details and events and get the goods of the Skoda electric crossover, but most of them will remain with a demonstration of the high potential of the Czech brand specialists.

Representatives of the Skoda company called the interior of the show car are vegan, since the production of synthetic materials is exclusively from recycled materials: faux suede faux suede, Dinamica's innovative coating of recycled plastic or vinyl fiber.

In the Arsenal of the cabin there is a two-spoke multifunctional steering wheel, a two-story front panel with disguised ventilation deflectors, complemented by an individual touch panel, a virtual instrument panel, a large central touch display of the multimedia system (voice control and gestures, high-speed Internet 5G), separate seats for four people, rotating in the direction of the exit and make it easier to get into the car.

The concept declared the autopilot to the third level, so that in the presence of a huge number of laser scanners, cameras, radars and other sensors, giving an electric crossover with the ability to independently move along the track and the Park.

According to the manufacturer, the useful volume of the luggage compartment under the protective curtain is 550 liters.

But there are no surprises in technology. Based on the Skoda electric crossover setlicense meb a modular platform, both the Skoda Vision E concept, 2017 and the practically serial Audi A4 e-Tron and the upcoming premiere of the Volkswagen ID Crozz.
So a fully independent suspension front and rear, adaptive shock absorbers (McPherson struts front, multi-link rear), one electric motor for each axle (front engine 102 hp and 150 Nm, and rear 204 hp and 310 Nm) with a total capacity of 306 horsepower, 83 kW / h lithium-ion battery, weight 510 kg, liquid-cooled, located within the crossover base under the cabin floor.

The electric concept accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 5.9 seconds, the top speed is electronically limited to 180 km / h, the range is about 500 km (WLTM cycle). When charging the battery from 0 to 80% using the “fast” terminal with a power of 125 kW, it takes only an hour and a half.
