Even angrier – Brabus 700 Widestar (2019)
The 2019 Brabus 700 Widestar is an exclusive all-terrain vehicle based on the new Mercedes-AMG G63. In fact, exactly the same update is already available for the current AMG E63 and S63 models, but you must admit that Gelendvagen has much more respect in the CIS.
The 4×4 is powered by the same 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 with 700 horsepower., which is 115 hp. more stock. Of course, it accelerates faster now, from standstill to 100 km / h in just 4.3 seconds, which is not so fast for a high-performance model these days, but let's not forget the size and, most importantly, the brick-built G-Class aerodynamics that Brabus is all about. managed to do a little better. Top speed is electronically limited to just 240 km/h, but we're sure that's until it gets into the hands of local workshops.
Visually, the SUV is as impressive as the Brabus Widestar before it, but the new G63's even wider body looks even stronger, with new 23-inch Brabus “Platinum Edition” forged wheels, but there are even 20-inch options. And if you look closely, the exquisite two-tone fine leather trim from Brabus not only lends an inviting touch to the interior, but also lends an overall dimension to the exterior.
But you won't talk much about the interior itself, since it can be fully adapted individually to the personal preferences of the client. We only know about novelties, for example, new exclusive high-level thin leather options. There is an “endless” variety of colors even for the extra soft and breathable Mastik leather and Alcantara. The same variety of choices are available for the upholstery, with precious wood and carbon fiber just the beginning, plus there are colors to suit every taste. Brabus was even given the opportunity to give it all “its own form”, if only there was money.
And now in a more serious way – about the filling, or rather what the Brabus engineers did. The new B40-700 has a different engine ECU, thanks to which injection and ignition are now configured differently. Boost pressure was also moderately increased. We have already talked about power, but the maximum torque has increased from 850 to 950 N * m, which is already available from 2500 rpm when using Motul high-performance engine oil. Without it, it will be about 3500 rpm. Interesting partnership, isn't it?
On a pleasant note, you can also notice a new sports exhaust system with actively controlled valves. The valves operate with a variable range from “Coming Home”, a mode for quiet movement in a home environment, to the awesome sporty sound of a V8. The choice is given to silver or black pipes, which, as usual, are in front of the rear wheels on both sides.
Brabus modification costs about 80.000 €. So a new Brabus 700 Widestar will set you back no less than 220.000€ if you bring a bare G63 to Bottrop (home of Brabus). But this is only hypothetical.
