LEXUS LX 570. Softness and power. Kruzak’s older brother
Today I have a review of the Lexus LX 570 car, which is sometimes called an idiot's dream. But in this case, I am acting as an idiot.) I have already driven such a diesel one, but now I took a gasoline car in the press park, and I understood a lot for myself, once again I established myself in my opinion. I won't say anything about the characteristics of the SUV as part of this test drive, since I drove it around the city all week.
under the hood
The 5.7 liter engine, which used to be the only one, has now become less in demand compared to others. This motor is more for fans of gasoline engines. Glorious V8 – incredibly reliable, excellent in return, at 368 l / s, 545 Nm of torque.
“Kill” this engine is very difficult, but possible. I saw how one person screwed tuning on the motor, and now either he or the box “make brains” to the owner.
I, having left in urban conditions in a wheelbarrow for more than a week, would not do anything with it, no tuning. Even if you want to go very fast, the SUV gives this opportunity.
How hard it falls, how sharply it jumps, swaying the body when you want to sink it, proved to me that no additional upward swinging of the motor is needed. Do not touch this beautiful power unit, which gives absolutely everything. Excellent return, despite the fact that the car itself is heavy.
On my test drive, the Heritage package is pre-top. The top Heritage Black Vision, in it the whole hobbler is driven into the dark. Sense to overpay only for black, I do not particularly see. Well, there is also a damper in the top between the frame and the body, which softens the vibrations even more when you hit the road bumps. As for me, this is more of a marketing chip than something useful.
With restyling, beautiful LED headlights were put here. Forward they shine superbly, at the level of good Vags. But if the latter in the corners “ahead of the rest” – perfectly illuminate, then Lexus, unfortunately, does not know how. Either this option does not exist in principle, or it simply works akin to one vegetable for the letter “x”.
Let's start the demonstration of the interior from the rear row of seats. They are heated and blown. In an expensive modification, there is an armrest, which hints at the possibility of a rear passenger driving here with a driver, a kind of wealthy gentleman. Armrest with climate control.
The rear seat itself is comfortable, the second row is slightly raised, as if on a pedestal. Sitting high, for example, is always comfortable for me. But not everyone loves it, many prefer a low athletic fit.
The center console has an HDMI port, a 3.5mm jack, and volume control if you're using rear displays with headphones. We did not have time to use them, and they are in cases.
The rear seats fold manually, which is at least funny for a car of this level. Adjustment of position of armchairs in a lordly way, electronic. The mechanism of addition as in Kruzak, with the formation of a large, even floor. Initially, the Lexus LX570 did not have a third row of seats, but it seemed to me that there was.

The fifth door opens automatically, the side too. I found holes in the floor for fasteners, probably a mesh was attached here, but I really thought the third row of seats. Of the “buns” here, a 220 V socket, perhaps, is all. The side rises with handles, but it is brought up by itself. The door closes with a button. With an open side, it will not slam shut, it will squeak.

What can I say about the interior… Comparing with a bunch of cars I reviewed, and there were really a lot of them by the end of the year, this car is a grandmother's sideboard. But good, expensive, high-quality. You know, one that costs a lot of money, and that it would never occur to sell.
Plus, I really like the brown interior. What do you think, is the color scheme good or not? As for me, it is ideal, especially for our weather conditions, where for half a year there is dirt outside the window that drags into the salon. I also like that the inserts are not cheap lacquered, but pleasant, with a wooden texture. The interior needs to be updated, of course. Maybe due to the new display. But this is a question for automotive designers. Hope they come up with something new soon.
On the central tunnel next to the selector, the air suspension control unit, all sorts of off-road stray. I already showed how Crowd Control works on an earlier test drive of the Lexus LX 570 in Sochi. Feelings are still pleasant, it was cool. From the point of view of off-road, the car is capable, but not sinking in a swamp, swimming in the mud near Moscow, but overcoming mountains, slipping stones, etc. Only Niva and UAZs can cope with the first states without preparation – there is nothing to break there.)
Multimedia is controlled by a joystick. I can’t get used to it even in the most insensitive mode, I’ve been using it for a week. Those guys who have been driving a wheelbarrow for a long time assure that you adapt with time.
My fuel consumption turned out to be champion – 17.7 liters per hundred. For most, it goes beyond 20 liters.
Well, let's go, let's see how the Lexus LX 570 rides. The road is still disgusting, slush under the wheels, so all stabilization systems work. Even going into the turn at less than 20 km/h, there was a feeling that I suffered. I would like to note the brakes right away: if earlier I wanted to slow down in Chertanovo, I had to start pressing the pedal in Podolsk, now the standard brakes have become better.
However, this SUV is bought for the sake of dynamics. At the same time, let me remind you that I am against all kinds of engine tunings. Firstly, I traveled by car, and there is enough of everything in it, and secondly, I know about the experience of one guy who was made by Russian craftsmen for a bunch of dough a car in a cool cabin, so much so that now it’s impossible to drive it.
I start accelerating from 20 to 40 km / h, on which I pass speed bumps. I didn’t even feel where they were – that’s how the suspension works. Sometimes frame tremors can slip on bumps, like Kruzak's, but just a little bit, you won't even notice them.
The engine with an eight-speed automatic is great friends – they are perfectly coordinated, jerks occur only in the case of sharp pressing of the trigger on a straight line. In a word, I repeat, the machine is very powerful, this power is more than enough.
And it is very rolled – when cornering, I seem to lie on my side, i.e. on the door. For most, this is not news. In order to enter a turn normally, I always greatly reduce the speed, otherwise it is uncomfortable, the feeling that I will lie on my side.
In conclusion, I will “please” you with the price

In Moscow, there is also a transport tax of 60 thousand. This is a car of rich people who are willing to pay to drive a large, prestigious, stolen, but very cool car.
