ABT Sportsline is not

Škoda Kodiaq RS

ABT Sportsline from the German city of Kempten is one of the oldest tuning companies in the world: it started revising the car back in 1960. Today the company is known as the main "closer" of the products of the Volkswagen Group, which owns more than one brand. And since the Skoda brands are only among those masters from Kempten, they decided to work with her – or rather, with the “hot" version of the Skoda Kodiaq crossover with the abbreviation RS in the title.

It must be said that the Kodiaq RS is not popular with tuners, apparently due to the turbodiesel power supply. But motorists Ed decided to add some "horses". So, with the help of a new control program, they managed to increase the power of the 2-liter engine from 240 to 272 hp. with. The maximum torque has increased from 500 to 540 Nm. Accordingly, improved acceleration to "hundreds". Now it is 6.8 to 7, C C per factory instance. But the increase in maximum speed does not say anything. However, we must assume that the tuning instances can go faster than 220 km/h, which reaches the options.

In addition to the modernization, the specialists of the AVT power unit offer to modify the suspension. According to them, after installing new springs on the crossover, it improves handling in fast corners. As for the appearance of the modified car, it did not receive any additional aerodynamic elements. Of the new – only branded artovskie wheels and a small nameplate with the studio logo on the fifth door. Perhaps the designers will present the original aerodynamic body kit for AVT later.

ABT Sportsline is not

Volkswagen Golf GTI TKS

Now, few people remember, but at one time, ABT Sportsline did not “drive” for a long time in the famous DTM touring car championship. And the racing experience, of course, helps the workshop specialists in the preparation of road cars. For example, the Volkswagen Golf GTI itself is a fast specimen, and it was “heated up” at the factory by the TCS version even faster, but the craftsmen from Kempten managed to add agility to it.

So, the modification of the TKR in its factory form has a 2-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that produces 290 hp. with. and 370 Nm, which allows you to accelerate to 100 km / h in 5.6 seconds and a top speed of 250 or 260 km / h, depending on the limiter settings. But after the specialists worked on the AVT engine, its power increased to 340 hp. with. and a maximum torque of 430 Nm is reached. As a result, the “hot” hatch drops two tenths in acceleration to “hundreds” (up to 5.4 C), and after removing the electronic limiter, the maximum speed increases to 265 km / h. By the way, the "maximum speed" of conventional TKR – an electronic "collar" – is 264 km / h.

The hatchback suspension is also work, and seriously. So, the updated chassis has height adjustment, new springs and thicker anti-roll bars. Thanks to this upgrade, this car can now go to the track. To improve handling will help 20-inch wheels with super speed rubber, which are installed instead of the factory settings of 18 or 19 inches. In fact, these are all external tuning changes of one instance, as the design of the aerodynamic body kit in Ed’s studio was considered redundant.

Siemoneit Racing

Volkswagen Polo GTI

Siemoneit Racing is headquartered in Stade, near Hamburg. Atelier owner Stefan Simoneit can tune the car (which he actually does), but Volkswagen has a special love for it. So this time he drew a car from Wolfsburg, namely the sports hatchback Volkswagen Polo GTI. And made it practically a racing car where you can drive on the roads.

First of all, his adopted minders received a 2-liter turbocharged engine with more powerful turbines, an upgraded exhaust system and a new intercooler. As a result, power increased from 200 to 320 hp. with. and the maximum torque increased from 320 to 430 Nm. Along the way, it was reinforced with a DSG “robot” with two clutches (to increase traction). Once finished, the sporthatch accelerates to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds, half a second faster than the factory copy, and its top speed is 256 km/h against the stock’s 237 km/h.

But the engine is only half the battle. The shop then installed a KW sports suspension and the front seats were replaced with Recaro racing buckets with Sabelt 4 point belts. I got rid of the unnecessary from the back of the sofa, along the way installing a roll cage. The finishing touch is new 18-inch AC wheels with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. As for the appearance, the car received a splitter under the front bumper. And it’s all. Apparently, no one understood about the remarkable ability of this wolf in the skin of a lamb.

AS Schnitzer

BMW i3s car successfully

The well-known German company AC Schnitzer from Aachen prefers to tune BMW cars. So, in 1964, the founder of the studio, Josef Schnitzer, prepared the Bavarian model 1800 Ti for racing. Now, however, the passion for motorsport is over, but this does not prevent the current management of the company from using the experience gained earlier in the preparation of civilian products. Only this time it’s not useful. This is because the studio took the BMW i3s electric car successfully and does not have a technical base.

But they worked on its design, trying to make the appearance of the model more aggressive than the standard factory version. So, the front bumper got a new splitter painted in matte black, which is attached using three glossy black adapters. At the rear, at the top of the fifth door, there was a spoiler that was also finished in high-gloss black. All new wall elements are made of polyurethane. According to representatives of the studio, both the splitter and the lights not only perform a decorative function, but also increase the aerodynamic efficiency of the electric vehicle.

The suspension hasn’t gone unnoticed either, using new shorter springs that lower the ride height by 20mm. And the wheels are mounted through 12mm spacers, which widened the track, making the model sportier. In addition, the wider track improves cornering stability. Aluminum pedals and a new proprietary iDrive controller interface with the studio logo appeared in the cabin. Apparently, they don’t plan to do anything with the engine, since the changes to the i3s have been successfully boosted at the factory from 170 to 184 hp. with., which allows you to accelerate to "hundreds" in 6.9 s, and develop 160 km / h in 8.1 C and 150 km / h in the usual i3.

Fast Car Service

Suzuki Jimny

Fast Service Company was founded in 2002 in Dubai. It is the leading showroom in the industrial area of Ras Al Khor, carrying out repair and maintenance of all types of vehicles. In addition, the company periodically performs settings, and in a not quite familiar sense. So, technically, this Suzuki Jimny hasn’t changed much. It does not have any rear fenders or spoilers. The car is now just a miniature copy … Mercedes-AMG g 63.

At first, it seems that Jimny has found a brand new body, but this is not the case. Because the Japanese SUV also has a square shape, and so the quick car maintenance masters had to replace the bumper, grille, headlights, hood and front fenders. Interestingly, the headlights are borrowed from another legendary "rogue" – the Jeep Wrangler. As for other parts of the body, they are made personally for Jimny. But the turn signals took the G-class, as, indeed, the four exhaust pipes that are common with Suzuki’s most powerful version of the "German" – the G63 AMG model. However, the workers from these pipes are only two on the left, on the right is pure props.

The taillights along with the hard case for the SUV’s spare wheel were also redesigned and, of course, were almost an exact replica of those on the G-Class. It is noteworthy that to compensate for the covered spare wheel view back in case you have installed a rear view camera. But the engine did nothing, because the huge 4-liter V8 simply does not fit Jimny under the hood. Although the standard 1.4-liter 100-horsepower “four” is “a little” enough, in addition, the real exhaust from AMG gives a decent sound.

Delta4x4

Mercedes-Benz G-Class

Tuning Delta4x4 is located in the small town of Pfaffenhofen an der Glonn in Bavaria. He considers the transformation of SUVs into these off-road monsters, increasing the ground clearance and changing the standard wheels to larger ones with the appropriate tires, as well as installing additional equipment such as "Switzerland", winches, etc. new generation.

First of all, Master Pfaffenhofen began to raise the suspension. With longer springs, ground clearance has increased by 50mm at the same time by installing new 20-inch wheels with off-road tires 275/55 Cooper measuring on both axles. Along the way, I had to install other wheel arches, increased body width of 140 mm. Additionally, a "kenguryatnik" was installed in front of the grate. The lower perimeter of the car is painted black, and the body is in bright yellow – like a small Suzuki Jimny Jeep.

However, this example shows that not all "new things" are meant for the G-Class. So, the studio offers a very wide selection of wheel and tire sizes. The most extreme tire sizes are 305/70R18 and 305/40R23. The customer can choose from 12 rim options. In addition, for the SUV, there are several types of "chandelier" on the roof with white or yellow light and extra lights mounted in front of the grille. And this, according to representatives of the studio, is only the beginning. In the future, the latest Mercedes-Benz G-Class will receive other off-road accessories.

AddArmor

Audi RS7

AddArmor, located in the US town of Jackson, Wyoming, was founded by veterans of special forces and law enforcement, headed by Pete Blabera – the former commander of the United States Special Mission to Panama, Colombia, Somalia, Bosnia, Afghanistan and Iraq. As the name implies, the company specializes in the protection of cars with booking. Recently experts from Jackson presented one of the most amazing cars in the world.

The fact that the protective “uniforms” was received by … a coupe-like sports hatchback Audi RS7 Sportback. The armor uses a special polycarbonate composite that is 10 times stronger than ballistic steel and 60% lighter. The glass is made from a mixture of polycarbonate and ballistic glass. As a result, the weight of a B4-protected vehicle has increased by less than 90 kg. In addition, the hatchback is equipped with accessories such as blinding light, pepper spray and sound guns. And in the front bumper it is possible to install a log for a ram.

The most interesting thing is that the armored car … goes faster than the standard one. This is because you have changed the transmissions – with the help of tuning company Apr. Thanks to the efforts of its specialists, the 4-liter turbo "eight" increased in strength from 605 to 770 hp. with. As a result, acceleration to 100 km / h was reduced from 3.7 to 2.9 C, and the maximum speed was increased from 305 to 322 km / h. Thus, AddArmor companies have turned the world’s fastest armored vehicle. However, this car can also protect the V7, but the dynamics then, of course, will not be as spectacular.
