Approximately the same clumsy, but very original, home-made all-terrain vehicles are obtained.

We take the body from Loaf, add a cab from Shishiga, a little more bodywork from “”, put it all on the GAZ-66 chassis and we got an all-terrain vehicle.

While it sounds so easy, in reality it was a little more difficult.

The creation of this car involved a whole brigade of homemade. By trial and error, they went to their goal: To make a car that would combine ease of maintenance, reliability, practicality, maneuverability, good speed, large capacity and payload.

Well, since it was to be exploited in places that were difficult to access and remote from civilization, it had to pave the way for itself: move logs and fallen trees, wade through bushes and young growth, overcome ditches and swamps.

To implement their plans, the GAZ-66 car was taken as the base of the all-terrain vehicle. The rear suspension remained leaf-spring, while the front suspension was remade into a spring suspension, and dual springs were installed. This gave a significantly greater suspension travel, made it softer.

Now the springs do not limit the angle of rotation of the wheels, as a result, maneuverability has increased.

Bridges have self-locking cross-axle differentials.

The wheels are used from a military tractor MAZ-537 () with herringbone lugs. The tires were “lightened” – some of the sipes were removed, as a result, their pattern became more “evil”.

Rover dimensions: Length 5600 mm; Width 2500 mm; Height 2600 mm. The mass of the car is about 3000 kg.

The car proved to be excellent in the conditions of the taiga, where solid ruts from timber trucks replace roads, where vehicles are driven on winter roads, and in summer, in drought, along the beds of dried up rivers.

Although the all-terrain vehicle is built quite brutally, but still, each owner supplements it with something. For example, on this instance, the front bumper was lengthened, and the radiator grille was additionally reinforced. All due to the fact that the owner often has to pave the way for himself.
